Quick 5 Minute Hairdos to Do Before Leaving the House

Do you tend to snooze your alarm, not once, not twice, but three or more times in the morning? Chances are this has happened to all of us at least once in our lives. You know the feeling. You wake up with a pounding heart and a head full of messy hair.

The next time you’re running late, make sure to refer to this quick list of 5 minute hairdos to do before ever stepping foot outside the house!

Textured Ponytail
A textured ponytail adds purpose to a normal ponytail. So if you really don’t have time to fiddle with curling your hair, throw it up in a pony and tease (don’t forget a little hairspray goes a long way)!

Half Up Half Down
Leaving all of your bedhead hair down can look like an untamed lion’s mane. Throw half of it up in a cute bow, half bun or braid in order to tidy up the locks (just a bit).

Twisted Braid
Confuse your colleagues with this ultra easy and quick five minute hairdo. All you have to do is split hair into two sections, twist them, and then wrap them in the opposite direction to hold the twist. This hairdo is also the perfect way to get natural tousled locks in the morning after taking a night shower.

Cross & Pin
So simple yet sexy. Cross and pin your hair as much as needed in order to find your perfect look. Take a section of hair on the right and pin it over on the left, paying attention to not show the bobby pin once you cross hair from the left section back over to the right. Repeat to have even more layers!

Headband Wrap
No bobby pins or hair bows in sight? No problem. You only need a simple headband (small or large) to complete this easy hairdo. Simply wrap sections of hair around the edges and bottom of the headband (at the back of the head) to secure hair neatly. This hairstyle will make others think you spent ages on it, but in reality it takes 5 minutes or less!

Waterfall Braid
The waterfall braid is the best hairdo for busy mornings. Simply do a French braid on the side starting at your forehead and then drop a section each time you pick up a new section. The fallen section will create a unique waterfall look. Once you get in a few practice runs, this hairdo only takes a few minutes to finish!

The Braided Bun
Create a unique look with a braided bun. To start, put your hair in a low ponytail. Braid your hair like normal (one braid down the back) before wrapping the braid around and around, securing with pins as you go. Tuck in the ends and any loose strands. Voilà!

Knot Pony
Knot your average pony, this ponytail features a quick and easy knot. Tie hair to the side in a pony before splitting into two sections and tieing like a knot. Make a second knot before securing with a clear elastic. The end result is half knot, half pony!

The Crisscrossing Pony
Just like the above cross and pin hair, the crisscrossing pony adds one more step. If you don’t want your hair in your face, this quick updo should be your go-to morning hair routine. Criss cross hair left and right several times (minimum three) before gathering all your hair and tieing in mid-low ponytail. Wrap a bow around the ponytail to hide the elastic or use flower pins to create a pretty, dainy hairdo.

Easy Tease
No one can call your hair messy if you purposely make it messy (right?) If there’s no hope to saving your hair, try teasing it with a comb and hair spray. Tease around your roots to create volume and then pin your hair into a messy bun or braid.

These quick 5 minute hairdos are literal life savers. Make sure to keep this list handy nearby so the next time you’re at a loss for what to do with your locks, you’ll have a quick and easy referral guide!
